First Fridays Artswalk returns for Pride on June 2

First Fridays Artswalk returns for Pride on June 2 with an Art Market, live music with Sample The Cat, performances by Opal Raven Cirque, and a free Kids’ Paint & Sip at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church! Tricia from Make Me Happy Radio will be at Dunham Mall from 5 to 8 pm for a joyful live DJ mix of good vibe music celebrating PRIDE! Open Studios at Clock Tower Artists, free Family Art Making at Berkshire Art Center, and Arts in Recovery for Youth (AIRY) will offer interactive artmaking for Pride month and will share their Pride art in Studio 13 at NUarts gallery + studios!

Intro To Urban Sketching: Ink And Watercolor Scenes Downtown
Saturday & Sunday, May 20 & 21, 3 to 5 pm, $60
Instructor: Jill Gustavis

Create sketches from life and have fun making art in an active downtown environment. Choose your own subjects from people to architecture, and learn how to simply layer ink and watercolor to capture scenes quickly. The perfect set of skills for those who’d like to add art to their travels!

Students will meet at the BAC space at 141 North Street at 3pm to gather supplies and group up to walk to a sketching destination at 3:15pm. If you arrive at the space later than 3:15pm Jill will bring an extra set of supplies and leave a note of where to find the class. If you know you may run late in advance please send an email to BAC.

A materials fee has been included in tuition and all materials will be provided for this class. Students are welcome to bring any watercolor painting supplies they have too.

6500 Lego Dots are ready for Friday's FREE Artswalk Event with Bottomless Bricks! Erin Laundry, owner of Pittsfield’s Bottomless Bricks, will be hosting a free, drop-in LEGO® Community Quilt Art Project on May 5 from 5 to 8 pm at Framework, Pittsfield Coworking, 437 North Street. The community is invited to make art using LEGO® elements by visiting the Creation Station at Framework to decorate a LEGO® square to be added to a Community Quilt. This event is open to all ages, and it is free to participate.
